Hello, I'm Etimbuk Akaninyene Ukpong. I'm a web developer from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and I'm 21 years old as of 2026.
I'm also self-taught. Nobody handed me a course or a classroom. In 2022 I started learning to code on my own, and I have been building ever since.
How it started
I started with the basics: how a page is built, how it talks to a server, and why one site loads in a second while another takes ten. I learned by making things, breaking them, and fixing them. That habit never left me. I still learn the same way, by shipping something small, looking at what went wrong, and making the next version better.
What I do today
I build websites and web products at TDG LABS, a web development studio. The work covers:
- Web development: marketing sites, web apps and dashboards that are fast, clear and easy to grow.
- E-commerce and payments: storefronts and checkout that hold up in production, in naira, dollars or USDT.
- Automation and AI: bots, integrations and AI features that take repetitive work off your hands.
- Care and performance: speed, SEO and steady improvements after launch.
You can see the products we have built and run, such as MyTPSMS and Jojo Chat, on the TDG LABS home page.
Why I'm writing this
I want this blog to be an honest record of the work: what we build, what breaks, and what we learn. If you are a young developer in Nigeria teaching yourself to code, my main advice is the one I follow. Pick something real, build it in the open, and keep going when it gets hard.

Thanks for reading.
